INTERIOR DESIGN: HARD MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS, PLUMBING FIXTURES, LIGHTING AND INTERIOR STYLING

Seddon home: Contemporary Living

A Seamless Blend of Style and Functionality

This two-storey dwelling showcases a thoughtful approach to interior design and styling. The project involved comprehensive concept design and development, focusing on hard material specifications, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and interior styling to ensure a cohesive aesthetic throughout the home.

Flow was essential to the design, enabling a seamless transition between spaces. Custom cabinetry using Polytec's woodmatt and ravine ranges was established for the entire home, creating a harmonious connection. The expansive main living area features a pitched roofline, with window treatments including sheer curtains and blinds adding texture and privacy.

In the open-plan living area, I designed a stylish bar with pocket doors, allowing the contents to be hidden or displayed during entertaining. The custom cabinetry provides ample storage while showcasing decorative items.

Each bathroom was designed with user comfort in mind, incorporating a blend of textures and layers. Careful selection of tiles, vanity materials, and colour palettes ensured a cohesive look across all spaces. The upstairs study area features wallpaper in green hues, complementing the adjacent bathroom’s tiles, while the master bedroom boasts a wave-like motif behind the bedhead for a relaxing atmosphere.

The staircase opening is adorned with stylish ceiling pendant lights, providing mood lighting with a sculptural effect. I also created functional spaces in the kids’ bedrooms with tailored study desks and storage solutions to keep school items organised.

In addition to specifying hard materials and cabinetry, I sourced main furniture pieces for the open-plan dining area and master bedroom, injecting fresh design elements that enhance the modern build.
